Rubbles

Hey all it is Matty again,

Tomorrow morning Rubbles has TPLO on his right knee. He has to stay overnight so we will be able to get him Thursday. 8 weeks of recovery before he can go for a walk. We love him so much. Tonight when Dena was going to bed she found him in Bella's room laying on the rug with the door only open enough for him to get in. Those two love each other a ton. We had one prayer tonight and it was for Rubbles. Hope everyone is doing well.

2 months

2 months old today. Back in the chair to see how much we have grown. The biggest difference is where her head falls on the crease of the chair. She's so tall!

Of course Rubbles participated in the photo shoot.

Check out the new Watch Me Grow page where I'll post all the chair pictures in succession.

Kim's baby shower

This past weekend we spent in Vermont with some of our Clark family. We got to shower little Leonides Robinson with burp clothes, diaper cakes and then miller high life. It was Bella's first car trip, first time out of Maine and first time in a hotel. She was awesome. She only cried the entire weekend for about 5 mins total. We are lucky parents to have such a great little lady.

Everyone was waiting in line to hold baby Bella. Even little Aydan & Tighe got a chance.

cocktail hour

A sunny afternoon on the front porch can't be beat. It's become a tradition since Gramma D was here. Everyday in the afternoon around sunset we head to the front porch with a cocktail and watch the sun go down.

6 hrs 6 weeks

Bella has slept a consistent 6 hours during the night for the last 2 nights. She just turned 7 weeks. Let's see if she can go 7 by 7.
[knock on wood]

1st hockey game

Last night Bella and her buddy Lawson took us all out to a Portland Pirates game. They took us to the bar first for some beers and then we headed over to the game where sadly the Pirates lost in a shoot out.

Bella kept an eye on Lawson.... her expression was clear "My daddy warned me about you Mayer boys."

Got my Eyes on You

I just love this picture of Bella. She is so awake, and just beautiful. She loves her Daddy. Just ask him.

you have a baby... in a bar

Yes I do.... twice in one day. Once before noon. Happy Bath Blarney Days! It's like spree day for the city of Bath. Bella is an official Byrne's pub baby.

Maine Public Safety Bagpipes

The Pub Scouts of Byrne's Irish Pub. They sponsor Matty's soccer team.

Waiting patiently to go to town.

Robinson Family visit

Bella got to meet the Robinsons (including little Leonides) this past weekend. She of course was just smitten with her "favorite Uncle Joe." We get to see them again next week as we make our first official long distance car trip to Vermont for Kim's baby shower. I'm sure there will be lots of blog posting about that.

thanks gramma

There are many things that we are grateful for. One of them is Gramma D. We had a great time the last few weeks surviving several natural disasters, drinking whiskey, playing cribbage & dice and just spending time together. We will be forever grateful for the loads of laundry, organizing the entire house, making dinner and stocking our freezer full of your famous homemade chili. We can never thank you enough.

Bella learned important lessons from Gramma D which include: ripping quilts, gassing rats, watching TV and eating boogers. Can't wait to see how these all play out:)

chicken viking hat

The tradition lives on. I made this hat for Eric back in the day which got passed down to Sophia which got passed back to Bella. This is the cutest hat I have ever made. Lohse Law, each Lohse kid at some point must wear and be photographed in this hat.
