Happy 40th Anniversary Grampa & Gramma D

It's been 40 years... and these two act like they got married just yesterday. Thanks for being a constant example of what a great marriage is all of these years.

When trying to decide what to get them it was difficult. Mom's already got her large cricket and Dad's already got 13 trailers. Instead of having to use photoshop to get a nice family picture, us kids all decided to hire a professional photographer to come to the cabin one day over labor day weekend to take some family photos. She specializes in kids and I can't wait to capture some special moments between the grandparents with their grandkids.

We had a weekend trip to Vermont to visit the Robinson Family. Colby was nice enough to let B play with all his toys. So nice that she gave him a little kiss. First and last time for that kiddos! Meanwhile Joe was nice enough to fill the parents full of yummie food and drink!

Bella has recently grown an attachment to red crab at bath time. She always found him fun but now she's got a special place in her heart and mouth for him. I bet she's already got a taste for yummie crabbies just like the rest of the fam.

We were fortunate to have wonderful help this summer taking care of the Bella Monster. Emily helped us out for a few weeks and she was great. We miss her very much but wish her the best at school this fall and can't wait to see her on school breaks. Rubbles is definitely missing her the most and he tells me so everyday.

New family tradition - every Sunday the whole family heads to the swimming hole. Rubbles is the biggest fan of this plan. His 2 bionic knees are treating him well.

Every night before bedtime the family hangs out in Bella's room. We play, we dance, we sing. Tonight was especially cute cause Rubs gently laid down right next to Bella. The bond between these 2 is unbreakable. In the morning when we go get Bella she doesn't look for us anymore, she looks thru the crib slates to see where Mr. Rubbles is and smiles when he sticks his wet nose up to greet her.
